Anyone else surprised that Uganda has an air force?

Nope! Im surprised they dont have a Tucano fleet, maybe they do and this is one of a few. Looks like they got lots of Russian stuff, mostly old until these. Hinds.

Belly landings cant be too much fun. My dad flew A6s and Phantoms. I dont think he ever had to do that.

The sound of that thing hitting was sickening. Poor thing.

it had a surprisingly empty sound, like... like a cardboard box being dragged across the floor perhaps.

When they ground an aircraft after discovering a fault, they really ground I to the ground.

Ive never asked my dad, but is there a lot of work put into aircraft for this kind of event? Do they take a belly landing into consideration when designing the belly of the aircraft?

Yeah he has flown those, A-6, EA-6Bs and probably others. He has a scar on his leg from something that hit the plane and pieces made it through, but they landed. He was on carriers a lot.
