Every luxury brand offers ten to forty different types of silvers and greys, but Im not quite sure which one looks better. Help me figure out which is best on any car, please!

Car colors I can’t stand:
Silver
non-pearl white
gray
non-metallic black

Yes.

In this photo, I like the left more. The darker color highlights the M3s contours better, but that could due to the different angles of the cars.

Pearlescent white is the best color in all autodom. It automatically makes a vehicle look like it’s fully loaded and more premium than 90's cable. It’s one of those colors that you need to live with in order to love.

yeah, pearl white is the biz...unless you have to repaint a panel or touch it up, then its hell.

Lol, I was waiting for that one. That name sucks though, should of thrown in some Italian or random Island/Track.

Just too bad it came at the expense of real colors :/
That said, Nissan had a good shade of gray in the late 90s, like used on the A32 Maxima, P11 G20, and R34 Skyline/GTR
And of course, the famous Saab Gray (the old pre-GM 900 is “the gray Saab”)

Silver. Silver is better. Gray just looks dingy. I drive a silver car though, so I may be biased. It looks brilliant in the sun though, something that can’t be said about grey cars.

If you hadn’t implied that these are different colors, I would not have picked that up based on the picture. That said, I like the headlights off look. Looks meaner.

I too drive a silver vehicle, but I’m bored to tears by it.

Boooooring!

Maybe it needs to be shinier/more metallic? There are definitely some silver paints that are better than others.

Best grey is primer grey!

I don’t understand the question.

Nah, it’s a nice color, but 10 years with it, plus two silver vehicles before it, now I’m craving color. When I go to buy my next vehicle, if they offered me a $5k discount to take a silver car over the color I actually want, I wouldn't take it.

Silver is usually the safer option, it’s often not as flat.
But when grey is done right it looks a lot better, like on the BMWs in the OP. Especially when the grey in question is metallic or pearl.
Also when you need a darker tone, “Gunmetal Grey” R32 style is perfect.
Shoutout to Dolphin Blue. Silvery blues need to make a comeback.

Storm gray is the best
