“This particular Tuscan is one of only 5 or 6 in all of Canada, and thus the entire western hemisphere.”

I think somebody should point out that most of the UK is also in the western hemisphere, exponentially inflating the number of TVRs in that particular half of the world.

I never really cared for Doug’s articles. His writing style seemed like pandering.

Actually, I think most British TVRs are in Essex, which is technically the eastern hemisphere. CROSS-CULTURAL BURN!

Most TVRs are in the nearest hedge.

Waltham Abbey is still in Essex and is already in the western hemisphere. Ha!

But it’s Doug... never ruin a perfectly good story with the facts. Anyone who knows or cares can figure it out, and nobody else matters.

The worst part was that people loved it and ate it right up!

I can see the kids now after seeing this video claiming to be experts on TVR’s or saying things like:

“my uncle’s coworker’s friend’s son has a TVR. Did you know it has 2 front bonnets? Yeah didn’t think so. Also, the unlock button is under the outside mirror ( other kids gasp ). Yeah, I know this because he let me borrow it for a month.... yeah, it’s basically my TVR.”

It’s Doug.

I don’t think anything he says is ever meant to be taken seriously. His entire shtick is BS and hyperbole mixed with anecdata for comic effect.

Most TVRs are in the shop.

Watching this video just made me want a Tuscan even more desperately.

I can forgive Doug his geography gaffe, but I have an ism about language. The expression “one of the only” drives me up a wall. That phrase means nothing! “One of the few”, or “one of only [insert small number here]”, but never “one of the only”! Grrrr.

I’d say 50-50 in the north west England and the south east England.

So many of my liberal friends talk about moving to Canada. I nod in agreement. They think I’m referring to the political race like they are, but they have no idea.

TVR: Built in a shed, to plow into the same shed five minutes later in a fiery wreck.
