So I think I’ve isolated the problem with the non-start no power to fuel pump condition. I picked up a test light and tested the terminals on the ignition cylinder— no power to the terminal that sends power to the headlights, running lights, and fuel pump. Looks like I shorted a terminal in the 4 months it was on jack stands.
I think I’m going to pick up an ignition cylinder and take a run at wiring it myself— I’ll be trying to simultaneously recreate a running condition while rectifying the “off” = “acc” condition it had since I bought it; which requires leaving the keys in to avoid running a bunch of lighting with the keys out.

Not sure if 80's, can’t remember what year he said, but it’s a classic 124 Spider.
