Got some new badges for the collection while I was in a junkyard in Vancouver, pictured at the bottom is the current state of my collection. Not pictured is a Jag emblem.
The Mitsu emblem is off a 3g Eclipse, the Previa off a AWD model, The Z24 off a Cavalier and the Elegance is of an older Mercedes A class.

Freelander was the appalling Ford Escape rebadged as a Land Rover, right?

This is really cool actually. How do you find most of these? Are they cheap generally? I would totally collect these if its easy to do.

It was the back badge of one of these:

Nope, the Freelander is NOT related to the Escape. Claiming so is unfair to the Escape, which unlike the Freelander was at least, somewhat reliable.
EDIT: yes, the Freelander 2 (Sold as the LR2 in the US) was on the Ford/Volvo EUCD (Mondeo, S80, S60, V70 xc60) platform, but still not as closely related to an Escape as an Audi A4 is a VW Golf.

hmm lets see.. I got the Alfa, Ford and Fiat from family, I found the 1600 Cortina badge, the Lincoln one I pried off a car with fire damage, the Rover off a rekt 216, the rest I bought via secondhand sites for under 5 euro. The 60's Vauxhall one was probably the most expensive at 5 euros.
All the new additions are off wrecked cars.

My name is Dr Booty, the kids in Vancouver are tagging my name all over the freeways and shit.

Also, isn’t the Evoque on the new Escape platform?

Looks like you need a Mercury badge!

I’ll completely concede it was just a visual assessment on my part. That said...way further downmarket than LR should have ever gone.

nope, EUCD again. The Ford C1 platform (Focus, Escape/Kuga, V50, S40, Mazda 3) is somewhat related (mostly driveline commonality considerations) , but calling EUCD and C1 the same platform would be a clear misstatement. The Ford Edge is on the CD3 platform, which is *CLOSER* related, but still not the same. Signifficant differences exist between EUCD and CD3.

Speaking of Freelander
From terrible off roader that doesn’t like the cities
To terrible off road that apparently loves the cities.

The second lot I recognise (bar Lincoln).
The first, not so much.

No, it was a Freelander. Nothing to do with Ford.
Edit: Not much to do with Ford.

I'm imagining putting a magnetic backing on them and applying them to my car to throw people off. That way the badges could be changed regularly. Don't like driving a Previa? Grab the Freelander badge and go.

You sometimes see boxes of them at agricultural shows and the like.
This lot, for example, all of which I recognise:
OK, I had to Google “600 mp”

Yeah, I replied to one of the other comments saying as much. They did look kind of similar, but it was only a platform thing (at least for the one in the US).

the car it came from was exactly like that car. I tried getting the red Chevy badge but it was too secured..

what is an agricultural show?

Seriously?

I would worry for the paint though... It could also maybe help in a police chase.. ‘What car did the perp drive?’ ‘A Lincoln Freelander Z24!’

You wouldn't have to worry about the paint if it were like my car. You probably don't have to worry about all that valve train noise and oil burn in your car. So, let's just say both cars have advantages, right?

Ahh okay a "county fair" is the term I know. Never heard of agricultural show before. Either way, I have never been to one. Thought you meant like a flea market or some sort of farmers market. But now I think I know what you are talking about instead.

How much they charge you for these?
