The view from the Austin Symphony stage. Concert starts at 8:30, fireworks to follow. I always miss the fireworks because I’m beating it back to the car in hopes of missing the crowd. It never works, though.

Yup. Stage is in front of the Long Center facing north. It's hot: 94, feels like 104. Decent breeze, though.

Earlier, my daughter refused to go outside into our friends’ backyard because it’s hot. My response:

Unfortunately, it's not very cool. Heat index is 104. But there's a nice breeze, and it will only get cooler. A little.

That trick works for me SOMETIMES. This year, it did not, because when I got to my car, I found it boxed in. -_-
Still not as bad as trying to leave a NASCAR race, though.
