With over 1 million sold I didn’t think it would be so hard to find a pick and pull style junk yard with Miatas in it.

They probably all oxidised into the atmosphere.

I feel like I’ve seen some before, but then I’m not looking for them.

When I sold my 1995 model in March I was shocked with how few were on the market. Made it easy to sell for $4300.
There were no low ballers.
They knew what I had.
I also miss it. :(

I think a lot of them get parted out, and a lot of others are sitting around with the owners saying *Mr. Regular dad voice* "Yeah, I'm going to get it running again someday."

They never die. Mine is an example of this

1) They go forever.
2) Most that have issues are parted out privately and/or turned into race cars.
3) In the off chance that there is a big collision and the car isn’t parted out privately, there probably isn’t much left of the Miata.

You need rural junkyards that never actually crush or clear out their old vehicles. “No Kill” junkyards, if you will.

But this is a 2 seater convertible primarily sold with a manual, the F150 is a work truck/towing rig/family hauler/luxury vehicle.

Best to help and being driven by broke high school students.

While not a lot, there are usually 3 or 4 in some yards near me. At least there used to be when I had my Miata. I’m hoping there are still some, as I need to pull the headlight motors for an electric conversion on the Cougar.

Its certainly not, just saying a million sold is a lot of cars .... but there are a lot more of other cars filling up pick-n-pulls.

I was wondering the same thing. Then again, I have never known anyone who has owned one who didn’t love it. Maybe they are just hanging out in garages.

I got my red one non-running for $500. It runs now, but very poorly. Bought a parted out white shell for $250. Still waiting to reap the rewards of miata ownership. Someday soon hopefully.
