Browsing some old backups I came to some photos I took on my first track day a good 6 years ago and remembered that there was this huge boat of a red car parked on the infield that I never found out what it was.
From what I can tell is sort of a custom made car with the front of a Chrysler Cordoba, the rollbar and proportions of a Viper and god know where the rest comes from.
So, I was wondering if anyone has a clue on what this could be to put my soul to rest once and for all.

The rollbar looks viperish, but nothing else does. Maybe custom convertible/roadster cordoba? Lol

There’s also a Seat Leon FR in those photos. There can’t be too many of those in the states.

It was at least 40% wider than a LeBaron, a GT-R looks small compared to this behemoth.

yeah, probably.
Thing is, I remember one of my elder mates said the name of this thing like “oh, right it’s a XXXXX, it’s been a while since I’ve seen one”

Ah. Actually that thought crossed my mind just after I published the comment.
