How many people were in Cleveland today for the Cavs Victory Parade? 1.3 million. In a city which is home to 400,000. Probably one of the most incredible things I’ve ever experienced.

All my adult life, When people talk about sports stuff, I just shrug and say, “I grew up in Cleveland.”
Either they understand, or they're not real sports fans.

Cleveland metro area is ~2M people, so yeah 1.3M is pretty damn impressive. Hell, that’s 11% of the state’s population (I’d guess they draw some fans from Erie or elsewhere in western PA as well though).

I’m surprised the highway (or that parking garage for that matter) are so open given the massive number of people coming in. I’m just going to assume a massive crash at the super sharp turn on I-90 on the east side of the city, thus blocking traffic.

All those shots are crazy. That’s why I booked a flight to Chicago for later this year. Just in case. #rizzo

Yeah the roads didn’t actually seem that bad. E55th was backed up on the way home but otherwise it didn’t take much longer than usual.

They were saying on the news that Golden State’s celebration last year had around 500,000 people, which made this day even sweeter.

I-271 was evidently the worst mess when it was over. Was down to about 8 mph which made the drive from 480 to rte 8 for the Akron-Canton people take 1.5 hours to drive 9 miles.
