Saw it restored on a single big screen theater - the Uptown in DC - in the 80s. The usual David Lean - my mind cuts 35 minutes out of it - like all his movies, it is too long. 216 minutes, I believe. Ugh ... I should have been an editor - give me an Avid or whatever Mac software they use these days, and there are a lot of movies I could make watchable. Except Heaven’s Gate. All of it is shit (and believe me I watched it all).
