I know these are kinda controversial around here, but I love them. Sure, purists hate that Maserati is diluting the brand through selling a midsize executive sedan. But who cares!? We get to gawk at Maseratis way more often now. There is a dark metallic grey/brown leather example I drool over every morning.

Sure, it’s no Grantourismo. But it’s still a gorgeous automobile as far as I’m concerned. Way more exciting to look at than the German competition. It’s the sexy Italian version of buying a Jag because you want to drive something different. And I’m all for it.

And there’s one more upside - in a few years, you’ll be able to buy a CPO Maserati for the price of a new 3 series. Now THAT is cool. Sure, it won’t have the pedigree of an old school Mexico or a 3500 GT. But if that prevents you from enjoying your $40,000 Italian supersedan, you need a therapist

Big Maser fan, I don’t love them the way I have the previous models but someone around my work has a blue one like above. I don’t know off hand if it may be the stock exhaust or some work as been done on this thing. But when the guy is on the go pedal it howls like a banshee....and it’s glorious.

I quite like them. They’re fairly popular among the international students here.

I cannot imagine how the Ghibli would be some kind of betrayal in a world where the BiTurbo sedan exists, let alone the Chrysler TC By Maserati.

This scene alone made me like it even more.

The make fun sounds. 10/10 would drive the Dodge Charger GH again.

I like the exterior, and I love how it sounds. But I’ve heard nothing but awful things about the interior’s ergonomics and the engine itself not really “feeling quick” despite the power it puts down.

These things are only in the mid-60s brand new. In three years, you’ll be able to buy a used Maser for the price of a new Ford Focus.

But they suck. The interior is shit quality, the drive is uninspired, and it just generally feels like the car is a cheap Chinese imitation of what Maser should be. Pretty, though.

In a few years you’ll need safety pins and staples to hold the interior together. These are nice looking garbage.

I don’t know anything about them reliability-wise. I’d assume it’s abysmal, because Maserati. Anyway, they’re gorgeous.

Likely stock, these things have amazing exhaust notes.

My god father was in the market a couple of months ago for a lease. We went to check them out. It (base modle with some upgrades) drove awesome and was really good looking. Inside was very nice but a detailed eye can sot some obvious cheapness (FCA). It was good and all, but not BMW 535i good. He went with that instead for many obvious reasons

Yeah who knows how unreliable these will be out of warranty... could be a disaster. That’s the industry standard these days lol

That’s a good point. And at 70k base they aren’t exactly cheap

Yeah BMW has been playing the midsize sedan game for a looooong time, I bet Mazza will need a couple generations to catch up

Yeah you’d have to be making stacks to afford whatever disasters occur as soon as the warranty is up

Lol. International students - drive Maseratis, eat ramen every night because they’re so poorly adjusted that they can’t use a stove (that’s how it is in my area at least).

a couple, but not too many, they are really nice cars and sell like crazy here in my town. Primarily Ghibli as far as new Mazzas. There is always 500 bazillion GTs at any moment at used cal lots and craigslist. Usually parked next to Quattroportes and Continental GTs on huge chrome wheels

it's not the best car, especially for its price. but damn does it look good and sound great. i still love it even though it may be comprised of FCA parts from the spare parts bin. it's one of those cars we love for no reason or all the wrong reasons
