Of course even the non-All Tracs had all that plastic cladding.

My fiancee drives an Impreza Sport Limited hatchback. Between it and the Crosstrek, hated the Crosstrek’s extra plastic cladding that does nothing, and she preferred the Impreza’s lower ride height, and non-black interior option that has less black in it than the Crosstrek’s non-black but still mostly black interior.

I still don’t quite agree with saying the newer Outbacks have become full-blown crossovers. The Outback still follows the formula of adding taller suspension, bigger tires, and body cladding to the Legacy wagon body shell (or it would if the latest Legacy had a wagon version available).
There’s no doubt that the newer Outbacks are significantly bigger than the older Outbacks, but the newer Legacys are significantly bigger than the older Legacys, too.
