Yeh I'm pretty sure they're just ornamental. I've only ever seen them up close on a Quattroporte and GT, and while they're real vents, there's nothing leading to them

Nope, the only Audi I could remember was an A6 quattro.
I’m in the white 2012 Subaru Outback, you can tell it’s me by the Stormtrooper sticker on the driver’s side rear window.

There were two E39s there. One was a Dinan on Style 37s. I was ready to pack up and say, “That is the ideal perfect BMW,” until the M5 rolled in.
