I should have parked so you couldn’t see the road. Ah well.
I still can’t believe I drive a 14 year old vehicle and the odometer still has a zero at the beginning.
Just 120,000 less than the 4 year older M3...

Wow, that’s pretty amazing.

My Grandmother has a victory red Silverado 1500 still in the 40-50k mile range. It was in the teens up until 2013.

How are you liking it so far?

I love it. I'll love it even more when all my lights and stereo equipment get put in though.

Old people are the best previous owners.

Not necessarily.
1. Usually their vision suck, and they are stubborn. So nicks and dings everywhere. Also, they can’t see the speedometer/warning lights/etc.
2. Not driving something is way worse than driving the shit out of it. My Grandmothers truck sounds like shit due to it’s first few dormant years. Stuff needs replaced after a certain point of no use.
3. They smell like old people.

Lights and stereo equipment? Are you making the bed a strip club?
Please tell me you’re making the bed a portable strip club.

No sadly. Just LED swapping the dash lights to red and putting in nice Infinity speakers and a Kenwood HU.

On the contrary, they always take their cars to the dealer for even the smallest things. And most of the time listen and do everything and anything the service writer says needs to be done.
Also, air fresheners.

Or to the person they can barter with, who has no certification, but is cheap. Because back in the old days you could barter for everything, or so they say.

Hiiiiiiiiiis truck

-2WD
-That thing is stuck
On a different note, I’d have to imagine that thing has reasonable pick-up (sorry, had to) given the manual, torquey engine, and what I have to assume is very low weight.

That thing is an off-road donut machine*
FTFY
And yes it actually hauls ass considering what it is. 180 horsepower and 245 ft-lbs of torque in a (what I estimate since I can't find a figure for this config) 3100lb truck.

Not bad. That’s 12.6lbs for every pound foot of torque. I believe that’s actually better than my car.

Pft, if you only knew the stuff I made it through in my ‘98 S-10. I should’ve gotten stuck in so many things given its 1-wheel drive. I only had to get pulled out once, when I buried it up to the frame in a snow drift that snuck up on me.

Nice. Kenwood makes some attractive non-ricey head units. Should be classy.

You’re making me nostalgic as hell with this truck. If you ever sell it, I may just have to buy it.

Agree. My uncle’s 2007 Corvette still has under 20,000 miles on it since he doesn’t drive it much and the previous owner was an old guy who put less than 10,000 miles on it in 5 years. It was also in perfect condition and a loaded 3LT Z51.
