1000W electric bike that is kind of like a little motorcycle, they designed it after a 70's mini motorbike. I want to get a buddy seat they make in Canada to put my dog in front of me, cruise out to one of the spots he likes without worrying about parking. Just a toy, looks fun, has pedals and assist or full electric to around 30mph. I like to go ride along the coast in the national rec area and the motor will make it more fun and the pedals and watt limit keep it a, “bicycle”.

That would be stupid fun. It would almost be worth it to put some pegs on it so you don’t have to have your feet on pedals while not pedalling.

Well done, should be a party. I’ve been thinking about building an electric fat bike for a long time.

They set the price about twice what I’d consider reasonable. $3,000 retail, with options i’m sure. This thing could be produced in america for $500-700. I’d say $1200-$1500 is a fair price. hell id even consider it if It came with a warranty. but when you can get a used vespa for cheaper, its hard to justify a $3k price tag
but its got a premium seat ehh?

These are not bicycles and should not be treated as bicycles. They are too fast to go into bicycle/pedestrian areas. They are slow motorcycles that belong in the street.

Ok Mr. Government, you don’t have to go full speed. It has 5 levels of electric assist or you can just turn it off of course. Wow do you own a Prius and merge onto the highway like a fucking idiot too?

A guy makes a seat for dogs that puts them between your arms and legs, since this has a motorcycle seat it will work with some modification. My bulldog is getting older, he’s ok now, just a bit stubborn about long walks, I can take him out somewhere, walk a bit and then cruise around and back.

Yeah, but it will be $3k when they finish the kickstarter. I want an electric assist bike so I can go into the wilderness areas that don’t allow motorcycles and I want to bring my dog so I can park it and walk around, then continue. I will pedal most of the time and get his fat bulldog ass up a hill with me. Most of the cargo bikes are upwards of $4k for a well made one, and all the good electric bikes with range are expensive. The kickstarter gets me $1k off for early bird special and it’s all made in LA by Americans in a cool shop (I’m in a union).

Heh. No prius, though I do recommend them to non-enthusiasts. My vehicle list is Crosstrek/Miata/Dakota/FZ6/CBR1000RR/SV650, but I mostly ride one of my bicycles to work. Which is why I like to throw out there that electric mopeds are a plague. Every single one I’ve seen on the bike path is some newb going too fast for their skill level. They are a blight on one of the best parts of my day.
