Did anyone get killed or caught in the video?

It’s like a time capsule!

I can’t even remember the last time I’ve seen a Fox-body LTD wagon, but they were everywhere back in the day. Ugh the Aerostar!

I think I see the Libyans on their way to murder Doc Brown.

Funny, I happened upon that a few weeks ago. It’s the closest we’ll get to a time machine. What caught my eye most was the dented early W126 around 2:34.

The same youtuber has several little slices of the 80s. Maybe the best is this, cruise night in Whittier, 1989:

Yeah, it’s always really cool to see this stuff and how things really looked back then from a raw view. I’m only 22 so I wasn’t around yet. I must be a jalop for the W126 was my big takeaway as well.

I was actually watching that video you posted while posting this originally, I should’ve put it in the original post. I think this one is the best one!

It’s fascinating, and is really a time machine. I have watched it several times. The music kills me. I was 12 in 1989, I have a hazy memory of it all. I forgot how relevant Nissan was to younger people, those Sentras and little pickups were everywhere through the 90s. Some really amusing cars in the video, and it’s amusing to see some were brand new.

The same youtuber has a lot of foresight - apart from documenting every day life, he made several “new car” videos, which are interesting too:

I understand why people would hate the Aerostar but my parents had two of them when I was growing up and I loved them!

These were shot in my corner of LA... I grew up and was probably physically within about 1 mile of where some of this video was shot. I’m just old enough to remember 1988 and recognise a ton of those places. It’s eerie and explaining how it makes me feel is hard to put into words.

Seeing that Aerostar so new brought me some joy. So many great memories from my childhood in those things.
