In the 5 minutes between DQ and my house the Blizzards went from “watch me turn it upside down to show how thick it is” at the register to a melted fiasco in my cup holder. Moral of the story: ask for a lid.

Does that area get unusually warm?

Your reverse gear is in the wrong location. Just thought you should know.

You need to fix your a/c.

Yeah my last car had it next to 1st. It makes more sense there.

Haha. In all seriousness thought the cup holders would be a poor place to be warm, but it’s right above the transmission on a cheap car that probably doesn't have much insulation so who knows.

The 4Runner trunk floor gets hot where the exhaust loops over the back axle.

Possible the exhaust goes under there too... Should be around the spot where the downpipes come together. I’ll check. May have to start keeping an ice chest in the car. My wife and I have a bit of Blizzard addiction.

‘14 Forester. Same shifter as several Outback/Legacy and WRX models, but some of those have a nicer leather knob that I plan to upgrade to at some point.

Make sure you take one of the cars with working AC! (Or just eat it there.)

My old ‘99 4Runner had a torn transfer case boot, and right under the cupholders would get superheated. Great for coffee, terrible for sweet tea.

I have a 99 too. Although mine is 2wd.
