Regal GS.
Hear me out. It’s supercharged, relatively safe, and it’s FWD so you don’t kill yourself by accidentally oversteering in a corner. HOWEVER, these with the 3800 aren’t the MOST reliable cars, better than a Northstar-powered car, but not as reliable as say, an LS. I think the reliability is pretty much on par with 90s GM. Which basically means it’ll run like shit, but it’ll run like shit forever.

Miata, 944, 924. Miata would be the most reliable and economical of the three.

The engine is fairly bullerproof, it’s the trans that you will have to worry about.

Normally I wouldn’t be one to over-hype the Miata.
But, it’s probably the best option here. Unless you find something similar (MR2, S2K, MGF/TF etc).

03+ P71 - Seats five comfortably, BOF for sweet jumps, RWD and V8 for chucking skids, insurance is cheap, they’re really easy to work on, and you can fit everything for a T-45 swap in the trunk when you go to the junkyard. Awesome.
