Having changed the brake pads to something that will actually lock up the rear tires when I pull the hydraulic handbrake, I had a chance to try everything out yesterday in a small Gymkhana event.
Everything went a bit better than expected and I never thought this’d be so much fun despite having to use first gear for most of the track.
Here’s a video from my best run:

10/10 would give food to you based on the video.

That’s good to hear, I’m starving :D
On a slightly more serious note, I will probably have an onboard video of this run in the evening (or on Monday) as well

Seems like a great way to ruin tires haha. While also grip is unimportant so crappy all seasons for the win!

Since the runs are so short (and we did only 3 of them), tire wear isn’t that much of an issue, you use up just a few mm of thread.
The rear tires were 10 year old Continental winters, perfect for the occasion :D

If we’re talking about tire destruction, drifting is where it’s at - these four tires lasted a total of about 8 minutes on track:

Nicely done!! That looks like fun if you don't mind the tire wear, good driving!

That m52? Sounds freaking excellent

That is an m52b28, and a nearly stock one at that. It does have a single pipe exhaust and quite a big muffler, courtesy of the previous owner - I like the sound, and the exhaust is significantly lighter than the OEM variant with two pipes.

Nice! It sounds similar to my friends 328is, though louder I'm thinking. They're such a metallic sounding engine, I love it
