The preproduction models that were unveiled were not liftbacks but traditional sedans. This is supposedly due to the way the panoramic glass windshield/roof/back window goes together.

For some reason the Celica in the thumbnail looked like it had a nicely proportioned Superbird-esque wing.

I work at Tesla and there are rumors of three or more roof styles to choose from. You may just get your wish.
