Y’know, fishtailing hasn’t turned out to be quite the inevitable danger that driver’s ed would have had me believe.

If Forza has taught me anything, when you begin fishtailing, just rewind.
I wonder why drivers ed keeps glossing over that.

Well at least yours said something

I only recently discovered that there are people in this world who believe that a high degree of yaw is not to be expected during normal driving on low-traction surfaces.

Never lift

What? Never heard his. The only way to drive a rwd car in the winter at all is to hang the tail out around corners to get it to rotate

That’s what I said. Early this winter my work truck had pretty awful tires, and I kept getting scolded for “driving too fast”. Because the back end stepped out around every single corner. It was to the point that getting a bit of oppo around the corner was so normal I forgot I was doing it.
It's also incredibly difficult to train yourself out of the habit.

That’s a proper habit. You should be instinctively recting to slides

Isn’t that just the general rule for us anyways?

The bad habit is not caring about initiating the slide.
