You can get a Chaser in Canada easily, but if you want one in the States it’ll be crushed.
Suckers!
Enjoy some other cars the Americans can’t have yet but we Canadians can have.
The True North fast and free.

I actually know O Canada, because I’m a weird kind of American that watches hockey.

My grandparents have a house in Quebec, I wonder if I could just register them there and drive them down here.

I think it just depends on the laws where you live. There are some people in the States who register their imported cars in Canada (usually BC) and just keep them in the States.
I would not recommend it though, would probably make you a prime target for the crusher.

Not fast, but I spotted a Twizy on the road yesterday. Pretty cool. Also...tempting...

That’s enough out of you.

Can’t get what now?

There are some cases in which it works the other way as well. European imports that are registered in the States but whose owners live in Canada, because VAFUS is funny like that. Transport Canada has the list public if you want a quick browse - some pretty interesting wheels on there.

I’ve seen one of the two SL63 Black Series last year (Mississauga, Pennsylvania plates), and apparently there are now two SL65 Black Series in Toronto.

I want a Twizy so badly.
Sure, it’s completely impractical, especially in Northern Canada.
BUT LOOK AT IT

Many on the web don’t see the value in it, but it’s supposedly very fun to drive.
Just did some looking and only the Twizy 40 (40km/h) is available in Canada. :-(x

Renault themselves have said, it’s not supposed to be a replacement for a car, it’s supposed to be a replacement for a scooter.
That makes it a lot more appealing.
Sucks you can only get the 40 click model here though.

*coughs*
Lexus GS series was a rebodied Chaser. Lexus LS was a stretched Chaser. Toyota N-chassis, 2JZ and 1UZ engines.
Crown Estate is a series 2 Lexus LS, just with a long roof.
The Nissan S-chassis changed so little between the S13, S14, and S15, to the point that you can and take a non-running S13/S14 chassis (which might cost $17.25 + TTL) and buy salvage S15 bodywork and motor from Japan to hang on the frame.
The European Accord is (was? is?) sold as the Acura TSX. It may not have the H22A7, but that powerplant is only marginally more powerful than the H22A4 that could be pulled from a US spec Honda Quaalude. I’m fairly certain the 12 hp difference could be made up with a couple of stickers and lighter rims.
Just because you can't buy it off the shelf ready-made doesn't mean you can't replicate the recipe to near perfection by buying the ingredients. ^_^

That Chaser is stupid attractive. And the Alfa is stupid not. Holy crap that’s hideous.
