Orange, or brown?

Orange, it has a larger garage. Then I’d paint it brown as it is fugly :D

Orange. The brown roof matches contrasts it better than brown-on-brown.

I like the design of brown better, but orange looks like it’s got a better garage. I’m goin’ orange.

Make orange look like brown.
![]() 04/29/2016 at 12:37 |

Orange. Brown just looks like a mess architecturally. Orange has a bit of character.

Orange. Looks like it’s got one of those almost Spanish mission style arched alcove entrances on the side, which I dig, a covered path to the garage, and some big open space rooms on the second floor.

orange has bigger garage so that one

I’ll buy the brown and convert the entire first floor into garage space, and live out of the second floor.
That said, my dream house is an industrial shop space/warehouse with a big airstream parked in the corner.

Neither, I’d buy a house that actually looks good

Another Vote for Orange
Because orange:

Orange looks like it has a better view of the waterfront.

Okay Howard, how about you show us some better designs?
Also, let me know if you get that “Howard” reference, lol.

Brown. The garage might be smaller, (still at least a three car), but you don’t have a corner property. Or a sloped lot. I don’t want to maintain that shit.

Why not Zoidberg?
Sorry

I wouldn’t be a true architect if I didn’t :)

True. Both of those are meh. But the wife and I love mods and mid-century mods, so we’re probably weird.

So seriously though, show me some pix of houses that look good. I “get” the craftsman houses of the 20s, and I loved that book.
Let me know! I want to pick your brain for a bit.

Orange. The color works okay with the architecture, too.

Orange. You can open the fence and back in your Ford F-650 filled with firewood and unload it. Then, you can build one of those huge Slip ‘n Slides all the way down the hill and into the lake.
Is that a Maxima Orange’s driveway? Looks like a Caddy ATS in Brown’s..
![]() 04/29/2016 at 13:49 |

Brown. Cause I’m further from the picture taking weirdos :P

For the love of god, please replace that chain-link fence with some wrought iron!

My tastes are all over the place, but these are a few of my favorites-

That last house does look good. However, I could use more windows I think.

Thanks, that’s my house!
![]() 04/29/2016 at 15:07 |

Is it made out of brick? I do like the white accents, it contrasts well against that red-brown.
![]() 04/29/2016 at 15:14 |

It’s CMU with a brick veneer, pretty much all the houses in that neighborhood are built the same way. They were all built in the 30s and every house has different brickwork, which I love.

That’s cool. Nice! :)

does brown go to the water?
![]() 04/30/2016 at 00:44 |

Yes

Brown FTW. small garage but docking for a catboat

could I build some kind of floating garage for cars and call it a boat shed or something?
