I’ve fallen completely in love with this automobile. It’s fast, comfortable, carried all of my things and my friends things, was a blast any time things got twisty and returned decent mileage.
I’ll post more about the car as I do more with it, but in my first month of ownership, things seem to be going great.
Here’s an R32 Skyline spotted downtown. Looked really clean. Good on whoever owns this
ZZ Top Eliminator at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Also managed to spot a GT350R on the way there.

Wait a minute... Cleveland doesn’t have twisty roads. I see right through your lies.
Also, my friend may have driven that GT-R

Hahahaha. I found some on the way home. I knew someone would point that out the second I typed it.

Well some of them don’t. Most are high traffic, but others are low traffic and very fun. Check out Meadows Parkway in Brecksville. There are a few good ones in the national park closer to Akron too.

True, the road going through Bedford Metros is fun but short. It seems like most of the roads around the valley are clogged with assholes on Harleys doing 20. I’ve heard about Meadows Parkway though, I’ve gotta check it out when I’m home this summer.

Oh I love that color! What's the deal with it? How long you had it? Manual? Plaid!?

I’ve had my MkV for 9 years now. It’s long past due for replacement, and the only reason I’ve still got it is because I can’t find anything I want to replace it with more than another one! Which pisses me off - life’s too short to own the same car twice. But they’re just really good: all the car you’ll ever need, as Clarkson puts it.
Mine’s actually a GTX, which is the JDM-only, top-of-the-line version of the MkV. Take a GTI, tick all the options boxes, then delete the body kit for extra police invisibility.

I’ve had it just under a year now, it’s a DSG w/ heated plaid. It’s the first autotragic I’ve ever had, there was a lack of decent manuals available nearby when I desperately needed one. I like it, but that’s not to say I haven’t at times wanted it to be a manual. It does make you feel like a BTCC/WRC driver with the pops from the exhaust on upshifts and pulling the paddles. The sequential shift is trash though.

God I wish the GTD wagon was a thing here. We (wife + I) want a wagon, a manual, and I want a GTI. This could all be solved by the GTD wagon.

Congrats on the GTI! Love the Mk5's. Had a mk5 jetta that i wanted to full gti swap but bailed and traded to get into a mk7 gti. Both reflex silver. Both fun cars. What year?

My dad has an A3 with the 2.0 and DSG and I like it, but I love the stick in my GTI. Awesome car man!

2007. Three pedal, plaid seats. It's just how I would’ve spec’ed it up from the factory albeit with a few more miles.
