First time watching the new system. Quite like it, should make the race more interesting.

That Manor though. 16th and last car to be eliminated in Q1.

Thank you! I'm sitting in a hotel and so bored.

The only saving grace of this format is the level of entertainingly derisive commentator snark it’s generated.

Your welcome! Not sure this is going to bring too much excitement but at least its something.

Yeah this is pretty boring! But I have literally nothing to do. My project car needs an alternator and I'm stranded at the moment so I'm just sitting here.

I’d much rather see everyone get a reasonable chance to squeeze as much out of the car as they can. I enjoy watching qualifying to see the cars driven to their limit, not to see people screwed by progressive countdown timers.
The racing is already interesting. There’s no need to artificially mess with the grid, much less doing it at the expense of qualifying.

Well we will have to disagree then. The past seasons I’ve always thought the qualifying was more interesting than the race itself. Now it will probably be the other way around, the way it should be.
