I love seeing an American car company that is innovating and moving the automotive world forward. Tesla is making some world beating products and I think it's pushing the world into hopefully a greener future.

I agree with Torch that the trunk opening is terrible but as I won’t be in the market for one for a couple years I’m hoping they do a proper hatchback/wagon version.

Agreed. It does sound like a great car, and a serious option for many people. I still wouldn’t call it “cheap” or “affordable”....thats like saying a BMW 3 series is an “everyday car”...it isn’t for most people.

BUT it is a great option for someone looking in that price bracket. Only hope they fix the trunk issue. The rear glass is cool, but the trade off just isn’t worth it. Even when it comes to rear headroom most people will likely only have kids in the back most of the time...so headroom won’t be much of an issue. The added practicality of the trunk will be well worth the headroom trade off the few times a year (if that) you actually have a tall adult sitting back there.

Someone needs to see if it will baby in the sense of can you actually get a decent size stroller in either the trunk or the frunk. I am really hoping that its better than the 2008 Corolla that my wife drives in that regard but I’m not convinced.
