Woo, might as well join in the fun. I just heard that the Tesla Model 3 will have suicide rear doors. Rumors are just rumors until they’re not, but that would be a fun one that I hope is true.

I dig suicide doors for sure, if executed properly.

I haven’t heard anything about the suicide door rumor until today so I googled it as well and it seems this has been floated about a year ago too but never confirmed. Maybe that was this persons ‘source’? What are your thoughts on suicide doors fellow oPPo’s?

They need a unique door type for every model. I vote butterfly doors for the Model Z.

I talked to a guy at cars and coffee with a Rolls Royce Phantom and he said the suicide doors were annoying to close when you’re sitting in the seat because it wasn’t as simple as leaning forward and pulling the door back to you, it was more of a reach around.
Seeing his point, I don’t know that I want them on my car
