So I am celebrating with Guinness and “potatoes.” I’m not a fan of corned beef and cabbage. I usually make a nice Irish stew, but no one else was interested so I didn’t feel like it this year.
For those of you not from the Philadelphia area and are not familiar with “Irish Potato Candy,” !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! you are missing out.
Yes, I am fully aware that neither coconut or cinnamon are native to the Emerald Isle, but it is a wonderful sugar bomb. Pairs nice with stout too!

I snuck in a sixer of Guinness into the office for my team today. There was much rejoicing. I normally don’t drink it but it was better than I remember it.

I had to go to three different stores to find a 4 pack of Guinness. That ticked me off a bit.
But the first pint is down and all is right again!
Have you ever tried Guinness cheddar potato soup?

I LOVE Irish Potatoes! I didn’t realize it was a Philly thing; grew up making them in elementary school each year.

I celebrated by making pizza and having an Oskar Blues IPA.
Happy St. Irish Day (several days too late)!
