This, people, is why you only go to your trusted parts guy. Or more preferably, have you old part in hand. I’m fairly pissed since the parts store is nearly 1 hour away from my car.

A good parts guy opens the box for you and verifies its what you ordered.
(after already once opening it in the back room to make sure the manufacturer didn’t mis-pack or send a broken part)

That too. My regular parts guy, one of the store managers, was there when I got back there and made sure the guy did that. He said “this guy’s a good customer, make sure you take care of him.” The guy didn’t have the same understanding of “take care of” that I do I guess.
