Tech fixed the coolant leak from the front of the engine, pulls the car out, and now oil is coming out of the rear of the engine. Swell. Resident 4 liter Cologne expert said it’s likely a CPS-type sensor on the back of the engine that likes to go a-leakin. I want to get off of Mr. Bones’ Wild Ride.

Could you drive it with the oil leak or is it really bad?

I can’t believe how bad this particular Mustang is.
I’ve never heard of them being this bad.

Within four minutes of sitting in a parking spot idling and occasionally revving there was a frisbee-sized oil leakage. It’s pretty severe.

It brings endless entertainment to Oppo, though. Suffer vicariously through me! Muahahahaha!

was it leaking ...................before?

Nope. It’s never leaked oil before. Especially not on this scale.

they usually only get this bad when they get TO a repair shop.

not gonna tell you that the shop you have is making more opportunities for work for themselves, BUT now would be an excellent time to do some of your own stunts.

Nah, they have no reason to make more work for themselves. My service writer was my cousin, the tech was his longtime friend who I’ve become friends with, and they make fuck-all off of repairs for employees due to the heavily discounted employee work rate, and they already have a completely full schedule this week as it is. This sensor sounds like a pretty easy deal. The 4.0 expert is going to look at it with me after work and if that’s really the problem I can knock it out with a ratchet in the parking lot pretty easily.

well, thats good.
if youve never been to a small town repair shop that makes its own work. lemmie tell ya, dont.
once you get these minor fixes out of the way, the gdstang ought to be good for another couple of years. wring out some of your monies.
