the little piles of stuff on the floor are former billboard stripes.
This is actually the old paint job. Many hours spent block sanding by me. Gorgeous car, but not a project car for the faint of heart.

Having had my hands in a few of them cured me of that.

Don’t like the car or don’t like fixing any old car

It’s in for scratch and ding after about 6 years out and about. The pilot of this Plymouth left a few nice blackies in a parking lot on the way down. I’ll try to pop down in a few days and get some “wet clear” shots

Woof. This is my dream muscle car. I’m kind of having a crisis right now.

Love fixing old cars. Love Barracudas. Hate fixing old Barracudas. This one was in much better shape than the orange ‘70 rag I also worked on at the same place. Detroit quality was what it was but these are the worst (at the risk of sounding unpopular). I could go on..... but long story short you dont just reassemble these cars. A dead-laser straight Cuda with perfect panel gaps is a work of art. But even the best one in the world still sounds like 9 things are loose/broken when you close the door. And that’s the truth about Cudas

It’s why I learned to mess with cars, which has been a mixed bag.

Owch, I’ve always loved the look of cudas. But i tske it they are a bit rough to work on. I need to work on my Mali though finish all the NE rust fixing.

Rust work is tedious, I know the monster lurks in my malibu, but it’s still better than a 20 footer, so I’m not taking it apart anytime soon, my mustang on the Other hand, needs surgery

I remember having read Colin Comer say something similar about them. At the height of their values a few years ago when so many were being over-restored, they crossed the auction block with far better panel gaps and finish than they ever left the factory with.
