Fitting some wheels on my coupe. Much more aggressive than the stock 19's. Lighter too

Whatever works ...

Good to see some more GenCoupes on here :)
Looks good POD

Thanks! I’m almost done with the car (I say that every time I change something). Lowering springs and the car should be about where I want her.
Here’s how they turned out installed. No rubbing, grip is noticiable better, and the ride seems nicer as well.

Looks good, but I’m glad you have springs in the future. Any ideas on which set you’d be interested in? Pro-Kit?

Pro-kit (iirc) is a linear spring. When I looked at the stock suspension, it looks like it is designed for a progressive spring. I’ve been looking more at the tein springs.

That wouldn’t be a bad idea, if you’re only going for the looks portion :)
I had sportlines & bilsteins at one point (last year) and it rode pretty well.. albeit a little bouncy at times... but that was because of the sportlines.

The tough part for me is I really don’t mind the stock R-Spec suspension with a set of ridged collars. I don’t want it to be any stiffer and I certainly don’t want bounce or undulation. The roads here are total shit, and a good set of coils is around $1500 minimum. Far too much for ascetics.

For sure. I wish I put the collars in earlier.. it feels amazing with the stock suspension on.
Depends on what your definition of “good set of coils” - I have heard good things about HSD & BC.. which are closer to the bottom at about a grand, max, but the 1500 ones you’re thinking about is like PBM which is top level goods.. somewhere under Bilstein P14's and KWs.
But I do get it about the roads.

Unfortunately, in Canada, HSD is $1500 after taxes and shipping and that’s with a group buy rate. =(

I’d love KW’s and I think I could get the ride I’d like with the height drop I’m looking for. But then I’m over the $2000 territory. This coming from a guy that prefers to buy used aftermarket parts to save money.

Ohhh snap - I didn’t realize they went up so much in price!
