Apparently the bomb waiting to go off S8 I posted the other day was sold. It might not hold a candle to this though. 06 M5 with 108k on the odo for 19 grand. Worth it? I know those SMG in these can be a pain.

Please don't

Do you regret buying a Camero when you could’ve bought a V10 BMW instead?

Yes. Figure at least $5000 annually in repair costs, no kidding, especially at that mileage.

Are the V10's unreliable?

maybe if Trump is elected he will be deported. He’s anti-American, the writing is on the wall. Telling us not to buy a new American automobile, instead buy zeh German and be enslaved to their cost of parts. I’m onto you Tavarish, and I’m writing my local congressman.

But he’s neutral! He’s telling you not to buy a Japanese midsize sedan and instead to buy a Deutsche motoren!

Not “leave you stranded” unreliable (most of the time), but bloody expensive to keep in top shape and keep the CEL off. Just look up “BMW S85 problems.” Also, the SMG shifts like a drunk 16 year old with one arm.

I think I would save up $3k more, and get one with half the mileage.

Good advice. But even 3k more gets you more choices that wouldn't keep you walking on pins and needles.

Was just wondering, so I did some googles.
84% of all new car sales are either leases or loans.
I’d like to know what % of cars Tavarish thinks you should buy can be financed.
But it doesn’t matter. It’s not like the people who end up buying these suggestions by Tavarish ever had any inkling to maybe buy a new Corolla instead.

the SMG is expensive as hell to fix

That's what I've heard.

I have a friend that had a 2000 750iL for about 1.5 years and in that amount of time he spent more on it than he would have a new 745i lease. You know what they say, “There is nothing more expensive than a cheap German car.” Or something like that.
