I might have to go look at this MK8. I’m guessing it fell to victim to recent icy conditions. but if all i needs is some cosmetic work it could be a huge come up. Hell maybe I could flip it. It’s only a 30 minute drive away. And this is just a 2 door panther right? SO the mechanical parts should be cheap, and it aught to be easy to work on.

Altho it looks like the seller listed it twice and the other ad is scarier.

And I love the MKVIII interior So Next Generation.

Not a Panther. Almost a Thunderbird, really.
Not the easiest car to work on, but comfortable and rewarding to drive.

Oh, kinda strange they designed a chassis just for this luxury coupe.

The air suspension will always fail on these cars. Fixing it is not cheap and it will fail again without question. Most owners I’ve come across convert them to shocks and struts

It’s throwaway money, and it would be an interesting wrenching project. Anything interesting worth swapping into the engine bay?

Not quite that exclusive; it’s almost exactly a Thunderbird. The FN10 was just a version of the MN12.

I’d be skeptical. The Sun seems to be shining in the pic yet it’s advertised in Duluth.
The MN12 Thunderbird is almost the same as the FN10. Not an easy car to maintain but a rewarding one.

Honestly it’s worth more than $600 if you’re willing to part it out. Lots of miscellaneous goodies on these.

Not surprising. A I knew a kid with Town Car that had a busted air suspension. Fist it leaked, the the pump went out, then the fuse kept blowing for some reason. Eventually he scrapped the car and bought a Firebird.

that’s also true. Heck those wheels could pay for half of it.

there is also no snow in the pic lol. I don’t have to work till 2pm tomorrow so I might head over to Iron River an check it out, just for shits and giggles.

That experience sums it up perfectly. Air suspension is great when it works but tiresome when it starts to fail and you start chasing issues around. I would definitely consider a shock and strut kit if you decide to pick it up. Good luck

Mostly likely I would, plus a manual swap, and LSD rear swap, then boost
of coarse a project like that is way out of but budget, and skills right now, but for the time being it’s be a nice comfy cruiser.

but that tragic front end styling though...

With the upgrades you listed this will definitely be a great cruiser. Hopefully it’s a solid car when you go see it.

It’s a good ugly. Like a girl with a homely face but a bangin’ hot body.

That interior still looks better than many new cars today. Great looking car!
