I’ve seen this Outback online before, but now I’ve finally seen it in person (at Home Depot, of all places). It belongs to the owner of a local Subaru shop, Flat Four Specialties.
From what I’ve gathered online (from the shop Facebook page), it’s running a 4" SJR lift, and all of the other body hardware you see. The engine is currently an EJ22, but he has/had plans for a built EJ257 at some point.

You have to appreciate the work that goes into taking an outback to this level.

Pictures don’t do it justice. It was very impressive to see in person.

How much downtravel is left after a 4" lift?

I’m not sure. I believe he’s also running taller struts, which would change things even further.

Hmm. I’m super curious about it, cause it’s a badass platform. But I just can’t believe that it wouldn’t be a disastrous mess of mangled suspension geometry.

If there is not a longtravel outback out there I will have lost a bit of faith in mankind.

Oh, no doubt there’s one out there. I just wanna know how much work had to go into it... was it longer struts, fresh control arms, or something like a totally redone tube front with long parallel A-arms?
