Tires seems fine on the snow, didn’t have any problem climbing up the 15km to get to the tiniest ski resort I know :)

Getting really excited for tomorrow! Hopefully it won’t be too hot to drive all day on the ice... Yes, TOO HOT. 19 degrees celcius tomorrow at 2pm or so... The lake is thick enough no problem, but if it melts on surface, we’ll end up swimming to our cars nonetheless and that would suck.

And the view from my hotel room :)

Nice!

I’m actually debating a 1st-gen RX-7 as a project car. I need to RTFM.

Well, unlike Doug, my cars, as unreliable as they are supposed to be, actually don’t give me any trouble lol. Luck? I don’t know...

But you’re in France right? In case of an engine rebuild, good luck finding anyone who will do it... You will have to do it yourself.

I have no problem doing it myself. Most of the cars I’ve seen seem to run, but have some minor body rust that needs attention. Here are three all within 20km of me:

Which would you go for? Sorry to threadjack.

Honestly, none of those lol :)

All of them have bodywork to do and it doesn’t look like anyone ever took good care of them. And rotaries need care, lots of care. If you want a project car, get something with a dead engine and a good body, that way it will still be cheap as hell but you will be certain of what was done to the engine. Once the rebuilt will be done, you will have a clean nice car to play with and you will know how to rebuild a rotary :)

I’m all envy both about the car and about the location you’re at. Have fun!

Not sure I like the gold wheels but I love the color scheme on this car. The white/blue looks great.

These are my winter wheels... I use them only a few days per year. Not a fan either. I have another set of more normal SSR for the rest of the year. Also have a set of Watanabes but I have yet to get proper tires for them (Yokohama Advan AD07 in 14 inches that I have yet to order)
