Specifically, a huge branch that broke under the weight of today’s heavy snow. I’d been parking under it until last week, when I moved the Jeep out to wait for its tow to my friend’s shop and started parking the BRZ inside again.
So basically, if I hadn’t given up on fixing the Jeep, the BRZ would’ve gotten smashed.

Something like that happened to me about 35 years ago. It was raining, I went to the store to buy beer, and when I came back the wind had broken a huge piece of this Australian pine by my driveway - it weighed at least a ton, no kidding - lying on the driveway right where my car would have been parked. Once again, beer saved the day! Is there nothing beer can not do?
I had to borrow a chain saw from work to cut it up and get it out of the way. Australian pines are crappy trees; if you like the roof over your head don’t plant them near your house.
