According to the comments it’s because camera mounts are banned on the Nürburgring. Regardless of reasoning, it’s pretty fuckin’ neat.

Auxiliary radiator. That’s why US cars have a “ventilated” grille on that side, but a solid one (like in the vid) on the other.
