EXPOSED FASTENERS?!?!?!?

I know but this just looks especially unfinished. Larger gap than the previous gen, and the gate not being slanted in at the bottom to look clean as was previously. An Avalanche puts in little deco fins do all you see is two little plastic fins.

It’s OK, most of them will be quickly filled with half-functional aftermarket LED turn signal strips.

This one has always bothered me. I’ve seen it bigger but I’m not sure which year.

Hey now, I’ll have you know my LED strip is 100% functional and easily the smartest mod the previous owner did to my Blazer! Especially since he smoked out the regular taillights _

It just seems like most of the ones I see on the road have a bunch of LEDs out, which I assume to be either because they bought an off-brand part or screwed up the installation somehow.

I always thought the Trailblazer siblings had that worst. Could see the plastic push pins for the rear bumper in the gap. Proving hard to find a picture on the interwebs though.

To provide clearance so your tailgate doesn’t hit the bumper when it’s down.
