Whether with an ARX prototype, or with a GTE car.
I wonder what happened to the ARX program. Weren’t they last seen working on an ALMS prototype?
As far as GTE, the NSX would be too difficult to rebuild to GTE spec without losing what makes it great. So... Accord Coupe GTE?

We’ve seen Japanese FWD at LeMans recently, it did not end well.

Clearly the folks at Nissan haven’t seen what I’m capable of in Forza. Someone hand me a controller. *cracks knuckles*

The ARX-04b was a dog. Reason why it only took part in one race. There’s already a GT3 NSX, but of course no one wants to spend the money to race in GTE.
And now the only way a prototype Honda will race at Le Mans is if it’s an LMP1, since LMP2 is now using a spec Gibson engine.

Makes sense, since you’d have to compete with an LMP1 car.

Local area honda bro wins at Le Mans. Calls all other participants “poos”.

But I don’t want Honda to go bankrupt.

I have the best racing cars. The best. People come up to me all the time and ask me about my racing cars. I tell them I have the best racing cars. Crooked Scoob has terrible racing cars. Sad!

Doesn’t Honda already do every other motorsport known to man?
Someone photoshop an HPD Rickshaw.

The prototype pictured (the ARX-04b) is the most recent in the program and raced at Daytona few years ago, but the car was such a dumpster fire that ESM switched back to the old 03’s and eventually just bought Ligiers partway through the season. Last I heard Mike Shank Racing used the 04b at Sebring to test next year’s tire but considering the drastic rule changes for 2017 I doubt we’d see anyone race it competitively even after HPD’s revisions of the aero and bodywork. More than likely Honda will just let the GTE NSX’s be their only presence in North American sportscar racing.

I sometimes daydream of slathering my naked body with butter and sliding down the driveway a hydrogen-powered HPD LMP1 car.

The likelihood of that happening is the likelihood of me beating Boris Spassky in chess with only a pawn and 2 bishops. :P
