While I was out and about this morning, I happened to notice this E34 sitting in the parking lot not far from my car. Naturally I walked over to have a look, and I noticed that there was something different about this specific 525i: it has a manual transmission. I’m not an expert on these cars, but if I recall correctly the E34 wagons were never sold with 5 speeds in the United States.
I know it’s a bit late, but on Christmas day I went out for a drive and found an old bridge over a small river/large creek which was pretty scenic.
Because this is Oppo, I gotta put a car in here so I took a picture of the car I was driving in what its intended habitat is (instead of its actual habitat, a Whole Foods parking lot).
Also, bonus 911 Turbo:

Actually I’ve read before that BMW NA (carelessly lol) allowed a few E34 Tourings with 5-speed MT to slip through into the U.S. I’m pretty sure of having read that correctly because the next comment was that they were all M50 I-6; none of the US market MT Tourings had the 3.0 or the 4.0 liter V-8 — unlike Europe.
Still an in-the-wild unicorn sighting. Now, if *both* sunroofs are working it would’ve been equivalent to a pink unicorn with wings...
