I was expecting it to be more in the $900-$1k range
I also wasn’t expecting it weigh 16 pounds

Price seems realistic. Weight seems unreal.

I know the Alfa is little, but thats one really tiny driveshaft.
Some of the big power HEMI guys have carbon driveshafts. I can only think of one I remember seeing pictures of totally destroyed.

It is incredibly tiny in diameter compared to the stock one.

I went for an aluminum driveshaft for my Mustang... around $700 for my little V6. The GT’s are 700ish for aluminum, and 1100ish for carbon fiber. Of course, there is a lot more economy of scale for the last gen pony as compared to the Alfa. Don’t know how much real-world advantage there is for a CF driveshaft, but the cool factor is off the chart. Too bad it is hidden under the car, though.

One for my Subaru goes for $900, yours has a hell of a coupling on one end.

Seems like a good buy to me. Though it is heavier than I would have expected, but I imagine that has to do with that massive coupling on one end.

Meh, the one on the AMG GT is considerably larger and weighs less than half what this Alfa one does.
