Take for example the 1997 Rageous. It looks like an Aztec and a WS6 had a baby.
You can see a lot of styling cues that eventually were used in the odd “Sport” utility Aztec that made it to production. But more than styling the Aztec tried to live up to sthe same idea, and failed. Just look at that huge rear hatch and tailgate that open up to a flat plastic load floor. It’s obvious that they were trying to made a car as paratical as it was exciting. Maybe it was GM obsorbing Saab that lead to this mentality. What ever it was I like it, and I’d be happy to see this thing hit the market now 20 years later. It would need an makeover in the interior. It’s very um... Pontiac-y The cringe is real.

That’s one of the more robot-penisy shifters I’ve seen lately.

The best Pontiacs were all the ones made in 2011.

For some reason the G8 still looks like a handsome car to me. Seriously one of the best of the era.

I loved that concept when it came out. It was amazing, and I would have driven that.

That’s because it wasn’t a Pontiac:

The Banshee is a straight up love child of an Opel GT and a C3 Vette, except it predates both:
I love it.

Meanwhile, Pontiac’s best (built) production car (Thank you NUMMI).

I personally like how the Pontiac logo on the steering wheel isn’t straight when the wheel is... :P
Awesome though...reminds me of the Opel GT...?

Funny how you mention the Aztek and Rageous. Both of those were on a list of worst looking concepts ever that I read today.

See, this is what current GM is missing. They need more of the lunacy Pontiac brought for better or worse. For every ten crazy vehicles they made that sucked monumental amounts of balls, they made one that kicked every ass available.

Except...that’s not the Pontiac Cirrus. That’s the 1966 Vauxhall VXR.
This is the 1969 Pontiac Cirrus, which looks even cooler than the VXR.

Ah, the Pontiac Corvette that never was. They really should have built this thing.

This is what happens when you mix an Aztek and a WS6 (LS1)

The 2002 Rev. With all wheel drive and the turbocharged Ecotec engines that would come out a few years later, this could have been one awesome looking Impreza/WRX fighter.
The shooting brake Type K Firebirds.
And the 2000 Piranha could have slotted nicely below the Rev, if they shrunk the design to a Sonic-sized car. And, it had the same flat floor setup like the Rageous.
Imagine...the Piranha could have been where the G3 was near the end of Pontiac’s life, the Rev would be where the G5 was, and the Rageous would be where the G6 was.

I always thought that the stinger concept was pretty nifty:
It makes me think of a Meyer’s Manx dipped in to a bucket of liquid ninties.
