Does anyone else really like those black plastic/rubber spoilers that sporty European cars from the 70's and 80's had?

Ooooh, a Grandad! Haven’t seen one for a very long time.

I never know how to feel about my 944 spoiler. I’m not crazy about it, but there’s not a lot of alternatives and better to be stock than not. I think it would look pretty good with nothing but it does do something apparently. Although I don’t know how much my driving exploits that something...

You don’t have to put your hands on the paint.

LOVED THEM!! There was a painted one like those from Germany for my 08 A3 that goes at the bottom of the rear glass below the wiper. It wasn’t by Zender or Kamei but someone reputable like them. Been looking for one for two years. Hoping an NOS one will appear somewhere. I have a friend who lives in Bonn that I’ve thought about getting to find me one but I’m betting it would be around $500 USD.
I know George at Fourtitude and they did a project car article with one many years ago. I want it for my quattro.

Not just European cars. Take this Prelude parts car my BIL owns for example.

I think they looked good on the 6 series, I actually have one of those badges from a junkyard trip back in high school.

its true, there are aerodynamic principles being mastered here, like vortices generation and drag induction.

Never should have sold either of mine. Damn. I have a line on a manual 535is, but it’s rough and has a ton of miles.

2017 Toyota Land Cruiser (black)
2010 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti (silver)
1986 BMW 535is (black)
