Look at that grille that doesn’t look anything like a certain Japanese luxury marque’s design!
...and who doesn’t love black-outlined taillights and real quad-pipe exhaust!
!!! UNSUPPORTED LINE BREAK IN HEADER !!!

At last, a successor to the ‘61 Fury!

*KDM, based on JDM (Delica), or in the case of Philippine/Malaysian exclusive models PDM (sort of) , but yes. It’s rear wheel drive, which is nice.

Except the Toyota Alphard is waaaaay better!

That was my point. I mean to type “this isn’t one of them.

Dang it I meant to right “this isn’t one of them”

I’m laughing so hard. It looks like they did literally nothing to every other part of the car other than smash an Alphard face on it.

This is sooo gross I can’t stop laughing!

That is ... unfortunate.

Except, the Starex hasn’t been based on the Delica since 2007. This is the second generation model, an original Hyundai design.

Okay, but you have to hand it to them on the back end at least. That’s very well-designed. Not bland at all, but nowhere close to overdone like the front.

Ewwww... Thank god that is reserved for Korea only. The normal one is so bland that strapping a Lexus face to it doesn’t make it any better.

I figured there was some DNA left still after the generation hop, but that wasn’t immediately clear. It’s still very JDM premium van-ish.
