Side note since my truck and speed have both been mentioned... the latest generation of Sierra with the 6.2 can hit 60MPH in 5.9 seconds. I can’t help but wonder what my truck would do with an extra 100hp, given that it has a ~1000lb weight advantage...

It does. But the 6.2 in the Sierra has over 400hp and I’ve got ~300.

Aluminum. I looked up what’s been done before, consensus seems to be that the iron block will take 26-27 pounds of boost and to keep it below 18 for reliability, aluminum will take around 20lbs and shouldn’t really go beyond 12-15 for a reliable daily.
Taking into account that double the pressure means double the power, 14.7lbs would see me around 600hp, plus all the stuff I’d have done to it at that point (cam, exhaust, intake, etc). 400hp would only need 5 pounds and could probably be done on stock internals without issues, though I don’t know that I’d recommend that route...
