Thank you to all the Oppos that have served. And be sure to recognize and thank the veterans that you know!

Do them a favor. They’re probably really tired of hearing that empty “Thank you for your service” crap.
Talk is cheap

A cup of coffee maybe, or lunch.
Something tangible, for which you had to make some minor sacrifice

hmm, I don’t know any vets here at work to get them a breakfast item ...
I guess I could come up with something not as boring as, “Thank you for your service”. A much more appreciative phrase to tell a vet I might stumble upon. Combined with a look right in the eyes and a mighty hand shake.

My grandpappy was in WWII so it’s bullshit that I’m still at work.

I brought donuts. And called my dad, who was in the Army during Vietnam (but stationed in Germany).

Your heart is in the right place. You are willing to make an effort.
Suggestion: stop by Mickey Dee’s and pay ahead five bucks for some vet’s lunch. It’ll be appreciated
