Hot Rod Truck Edition. It’s bright red, it’s got 5.8ls of fury, and sweet decals. What more could you want? But 10,000 bucks seems steep.

Mmm. The world needs more tubular intakes.

Absolutely a NP!
It’s more than a hopped up short bed F150. It is mostly about the engine though. GT40 intake, Aluminum heads, bla..bla..bla.. There was a lot of suspension tuning too. That still had the twin I beam front end but it could hold a corner. That took some effort.
Edit.. Look at it! It’s freaking beautiful..

I’d say NP on this.

‘95, so it’s the lowest production of the gen 1 Lightnings, low miles, very clean, unmolested... The only ding I can give it is someone clearly tore off the front chin spoiler at some point because it should be body color. NP!!!!!

No.
And you probably don’t want it with any manual trans Ford used during that era.

Ford trucks and the Thunderbird SC used a Mazda manual. It wasn’t the best.
This rig was auto only.

I thought the Thunderbird SC used either a T-5 or T-45. The Mazda ‘box was pretty fragile and had rather imprecise shifts. Some have swapped them in to gen 1 Lightnings, and I even looked into it when I was getting frustrated with my E4OD. It’s not a great swap.

The Bird used the M5OD R2 (heavy duty) truck trans. I have no idea why they didnt use the WC T5.

I didn’t know that about the front spoiler, the only one I’ve seen in person was black so I didn’t notice it was painted.

Interesting - you are right, it should be red. Looks like that black one is stock shaped. Probably an OEM but black (or unpainted) replacement.
