Looks so small compared to more modern cars:
And yes, that is a line at Levain Bakery, across from my building, for a fucking cookie. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a pretty good cookie - chocolate chocolate chip - but it’s just a fucking cookie. Yet hipsters (mostly) line up in any sort of weather all day long. So now people who live here can’t get a loaf of bread or a good baguette.

Nope - sold my ‘97 SHO in 2001 - too expensive to keep it here. Now I’m rentals or Turo.

What has been your favorite Turo? Also that is a pretty cool way to drive cars. You don’t have to pay or worry about your own and NYC allows that. Meanwhile I’ve put 2000 miles on my car in a month.

I was going to get an M4, but wound up using a borrowed Civic Hybrid last time I went down to DC. Nothing really exciting yet - the Chevy Volt was interesting.

Do you have an idea if they’re very comfortable? I’m really starting to think about getting an old classy european sedan project car. Like a MB123 or 240 if its nice enough to cruise around in.

240s are comfy, well every Volvo I’ve been in has been. They pretty much make the best seats.

They’re the size of the ‘70s/’80s full-size vans to which the minivan was originally conceived as a more maneuverable alternative.

I’ve driven a couple, and they sure are comfy - I’d say more than a W123, which I also drove.

I flippin love the 240. It really is the quintessential classic Volvo. There’s something about them that gets me every time! Kind of boring looking, but just so hilariously honest you have to love it!
It’s a timeless clsssic
