I’d say I did alright at gift-giving this year.

Light and not black interiors are great. Looks good!

Am I supposed to get the Abarth a gift for our anniversary? Oops.

Get it a $15 iTunes gift card.

Is an X1 more or less expensive than a 3-series wagon?

Less

Comparably equipped, you’re looking about 8k less than a wagon.

Good job.
In some colors, namely the red and silver, the x1 looks like that Chinese knockoff.

Not a fan of the X1 personally but that interior is pretty damn spiffy.

What’s wrong with the X1?

Nothing is wrong with it per se, I just don’t like it much, the interior is an exception to that.

For all intents and purposes, I don’t qualify it with the rest of the BMWs. It is essentially a taller hot hatch in the vein of the GTI. Which is a character very different from the rest of the lineup.

Not a bad way to think about it and it hits exactly upon my main issue with it, I/we can’t qualify it with/as other normal BMWs - it is fwd based and fundamentally different for it. That’s not necessarily bad, I think they’ll sell boatloads, but it does go somewhat contrary to what BMW is, and that I’m not a fan of.

I’m okay with it. Not every car that a company makes has to be the same. Its the same reason that I’m sad the Cobalt SS and the Camaro SS never shared a dealer lot. Awesome decision to be stuck between.

I’m okay with it as well, just not a fan, unlike much of the rest of what BMW makes.
